The food pantry provides emergency food to those in need. Available items include nonperishable foods, fresh vegetables and fruit, frozen foods, a variety of meat products, baby supplies, cleaning products and personal care items. The Agape Center is a distribution center for the emergency food assistance program of Macomb County and Forgotten Harvest.
What to expect when visiting the pantry
A client visiting for the first time will be asked where they live. If they reside within our service boundaries, eligibility for TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) or USDA food is based on the household being in need of emergency food, meeting the income guidelines below or participates in SNAP, WIC, FDPIR, CSFP OR a child receives free/reduced meals at school. Updated May 2022.
Self-declared eligible clients will be asked to provide basic information including names of family members, address, and phone number.
