Welcome to the Agape Center
|
The Agape Center, located in northern Macomb County, exists to help individuals and families who need emergency assistance. Our pantry is stocked with canned goods, meat products, fresh produce and personal care items. In addition to our pantry, the center helps sponsoring churches with clients facing shut-off and eviction notices. Caring volunteers treat everyone with dignity and respect as they navigate the difficult times in life. |

Agape Center News Flash
October Update
In October, 104 families, made up of 312 individuals, came to us for help. We were able
to respond to this need because of the generous support of our member parishes, the
Macomb County Food Program and Forgotten Harvest. And, as always, our volunteers
pitched in by providing over 249 hours of service to the food insecure of our community.
Thanks to all for making this essential program possible!
Because of the uncertainty re: the availability of federal food support programs, we are
anticipating an increase in demand for our services. Items in particular need are cereal,
hot cereal, pancake mix and granola bars. People wishing to donate these or other
non-perishable food items can drop them off at the pantry during pantry hours, which
are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and Thursdays from 4:00 –
7:00 pm. Simply call the pantry at 586-336-6737 upon arrival and your donations will be
accepted by a volunteer.
Financial donations are particularly important because they allow us to purchase items
quickly as the need arises. They can be made by visiting our website at
agapenorthmacomb.org via PayPal or by personal check. Our address is:
347 S. Main St., Romeo, MI 48065.
